Original Netflix hit, Orange Is The New Black, is returning on June 12 for its third season.
According to creator Jenji Kohan, this season’s main themes are faith and motherhood.
“It’s a little lighter than season two”, she told The Hollywood Reporter. Phew!
In the two years since we met Piper, Alex and the gang, the American comedy-drama has won a number of awards including ‘Best Comedy Series’ (2013), ‘Best Cast – Television Series’ (2014), and ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series’ (2015).
This season will see the introduction of new character, Stella Carlin, played by Ruby Rose.
Australian, Rose, has already made a name for herself down under as a model, DJ, MTV VJ and actress.
Rose told the Daily Mail that she sang karaoke with the cast to get to know them and described her co-stars as “incredibly skilled” singers.
The new season has been shrouded in secrecy, with very little of the plot revealed to the public until the most recent two-minute trailer, when audiences were given a heap of new information.
Lori Petty, Tank Girl and A League Of Their Own, is returning to Litchfield after her single appearance in the season two premiere. Big Boo gets a makeover courtesy of Sophia, played by Laverne Cox, and Red is back on top at Litchfield.
Don’t worry if you have an Orange Is The New Black binge-athon planned for this weekend, because a fourth season has already been confirmed for 2016.
