This sweet and daring comedy follows Angélique (Isabelle Carré), a painfully shy yet incredible chocolate maker who has spent her days creating masterpiece chocolates for a friend under the guise of being a hermit recluse and spending her evenings at a support group for her intense over anxiety. When her friend passes away she is left with no work as she is too panic stricken to let anyone know it was her behind his cholcatier success. She soon gets a job as a saleswoman for another chocolate company run by the equally as awkward Jean-René VanDenHugde (Benoît Poelvoorde) who is instantly smitten. The plot thickens as his therapist gives him dating advice and Angélique attempts to overcome her anxiety and save the company from bankruptcy. The characters are cute and their parallel awkward emotions leads to some hilarious yet heart warming scenes. This film is very French in its romantically innocent overtone thickened by the passions the characters have for their profession. A lovely film for the summer.
