Whether news of the return of lesbians' favourite, the dungaree, brings shock or horror or glee - there will be no turning back the clock now, as the 80s feminist utitlity trouser is back for spring/summer.
MTV presenter, Alex Chung is on the cover of Vogue this month and admits: "My love for all things dungaree is a worry." Whether there is more to this story than just a foray into her wardrobe, and she's actually falling out of the closet with her new found denims we do not know. However, the woman who was voted most stylish by Vogue in 2009 is backing the comeback to the hilt.
Ralph Lauren have launched a pair costing over £1,000, but high street brands are looking set to continue the trend with cheaper versions.
Bother boots and boiler suits were hip last season, as were lumberjack and plaid shirts. Could the fashion world be claiming the dyke look of old?
