London Front Runners has chosen the Lesbian & Gay Switchboard as its designated charity for 2010
Just before one of its regular runs on Wednesday 20 January London Frontrunners presented the LLGS with a cheque for £4,225 (the club’s contributions for 2009). We can only hope that 2010 will be as successful.
Most of the funds were raised by London Pride Run. The next one is scheduled for Saturday 12 August in Victoria Park. It’s a beautiful day for everyone involved. The run lasts 10k and is open to anyone who wants to do some good. Phil Nicol, Co-Chair of LLGS, highlighted the importance of Frontrunners’ donations: "Support from London Frontrunners in 2009 helped us to continue running our phones, allowing us to provide our confidential, non-judgmental and non-directive support and information service to LGBT people throughout London and beyond”.
