The Drags Are Back In Town

webDTTGBanner2-e1427244284812Some of the greatest drag acts of the past and present are joining forces for a special one-off show in the north east.

Taking place at Boulevard in Newcastle on Sunday 12 July, Dragged Through The Generations will act as a warm up for the LGBT festival Newcastle Pride, which is the following weekend.

Countless acts are expected to perform, including Ophelia B, Vicky Paris, Miss Lucy, Greta La More, as well as Boulevard's own Betty Legs Diamond.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the LGBT charity Northern Pride, to help fund Newcastle Pride and ensure it remains free to attend in the future.

Miss Rory said: "Dragged Through The Generations is a glitzy showcase in aid of a great cause. Last year's inaugural event was a huge success and we're hoping this time will be another sell out."

Newcastle Pride 2015 will return to the Town Moor from Friday July 17 and will consist of three days of live music and entertainment for all ages, including headline performances by girlband B*Witched and popstar Belinda Carlisle.

Boulevard, on Churchill Street, will also host the festival's official closing party on July 19.

Mark Nichols, Chair of Northern Pride, said: The team at Boulevard have been great supporters of the festival since the very beginning and we're delighted to have them on board again for 2015."

Tickets for Dragged Through The Generations, priced from £5, are available from the Boulevard box office on 0191 2507068 or here.
